Multi-coloured Horses, and Pink Foam Trees

Hello everyone :) Thanks so much for your kind comments on my last post, they really meant a lot! I thought I'd post another little snippet of the room set I'm building. But first, how cool is this tree! :D I had been stuck in the studio alone alllll day, building and working, covered in dust and dirt and feeling very masculine with my hammer and nails and carpet laying skills. So I went out for a walk to lunchtime - the sun was shining for the first time in MONTHS, it was above freezing (shock horror!) and I saw this beauty! It's a great alternative to fresh blossom blooms isnt it? :)
So anyway....this is the little girls side of the room. It's set in 1999, so thats why theres S club 7 and Spice Girls posters! But I thought you all might like my pretty stampede of horses :)

and up they gallop over the door!
I got the idea here, from the amazing ann wood, but I've added my own little olivia twist ;)

Hope everyone is ok, and again thanks for the comments on my last post! :D

Paper Boats, Cardboard Castles, and Golden Maps

So heres some paper boats I have made as part of the set  for my film, strung up from the ceiling :)

 Pea Green Boat :D
This one is my favourite, I love the big pirate ship style sails :)
By the way, the messy walls are due to these lovely little boats being strung up in my Uni room...very messy and stuffed with props...
This is a cardboard castle I made...it is meant to have been made by a nine year old, so it's allowed to be a little scruffy ;)

This is a beautiful map of Asia that I picked up for free! The black surface is like blackboard, nd before I pimped it up with gold glitter there was chalk drawings all over the countries. The glitter glue I used ws about a pound, so the full thing cost me around two quid ;) Thrifty or what! :)

More bits and props coming soon :)

Future Classics

Heres the logo I've designed for our Final Year show ehere all of our films will be shown. It's being held at a great venue called Fruit, and my friend Shona (across at A Polaroid Dream) and I are dressing the venue, its a Classic Cinema meets the Future them :) Should be really cool.

This song was the starting template for the whole idea of the night, blends the glamour of the past with the energy of the future all in one :)

Some Uni work for Kodak

Hellooo everyone. Again sorry for being away for so long, drowning in Uni work! Just thought I'd post up some photos of work I've been doing. This was an advert for The Industry Trust we did, with Kodak film which was scary! I was production designer/art director, and I made everything you can see in these pics - even the dress and the orb! :)
