My Work in Homes & Antiques Magazine December Issue!

Hi everyone :) Thanks for all the comments on my last few posts, you're a lovely bunch aren't you :)

Some of you might remember that in the end of summer, I was in Bristol working on Homes and Antiques magazine - the Christmas Issue, and here it is! I've scanned in all the pages that my work is on - the paper fan decorations, the crackers and home made snowglobes are just some of the things I made.

What do you think?

Hope you're all ready for Christmas :)

Pia Jane Bijkerk - My Heart Wanders

The beginning of this week has been a fairly miserable one for reasons I am too much of a lady to go into. Let's just say life is giving me lemons at the moment, and I've misplaced my lemonade recipe.

I visited my local library and found this beauty - My Heart Wanders by stylist Pia Jane Bijkerk.

I have never, never, found a more inspirational book. Here is some of her work.

I recommend that everyone should go and buy her books, she is an amazing talent!

Beautiful Brugge

So Alex and I took our (what is becoming annual) mini break to Brugge to see the Christmas Markets, little shops, cute canals, and amazing architecture. And of course we indulged in a few local delicacies....I had the Hot Chocolate, Alex has mussels! (Yack)

Ain't he cute.

I had never cycled through Brugge before (in fact I haven't been on a bike for around 5 years!) and honestly it was amazing. It's incredible compared to England, how European cities are geared towards cyclists - we could go anywhere on them, cycle lane or not!

My future apartment ;)

Is anyone else going away near Christmas, or over Christmas? :)

Romantic Winter

Hi everyone :)
Thanks for all the great comments on my last post, I've got the Halloween photos so I'll pop them up soon so you can see the costume!

Just thought I'd put up a few NICE pictures of winter - if there's any fellow Brit readers out there I don't know about you but the clocks going back has really thrown me! Dark mornings, dark days, dark evenings, cold, wind, rain - bleurgh! It seems as though Autumn has lasted about a week, and now were straight into Winter :(
So I thought I'd do a post to remind myself of all the lovely things about winter - the chunky knits, the snow and ice, the yummy hot drinks, twinkly christmas lights, winter romance...actually who am I kidding I love winter! :D

Hello everyone :)

Thanks for all the supportive comments in my last posts. Working as Assistant Stylist for Sally Conran at The White Company was amazing - so many beautiful things to see! Once the catalogue is out, I'll get some of the pictures and put them up here so you can see what I was doing.

In the mean time, here's a bit of a promo post!

Catch Up Post Part 2! Graduation, Prop Studios, and The White Company.

An off-guard snap taken by my Ma, just after Graduation.

Throwing off our hats - it's been a long, hard three years - but a First Class Honors (BA Hons) Degree was worth it :)

Here's some photos of the work of Prop Studios, where I was working at a few weeks ago. Such an amazing eye opening experience, the talent of the people there blew my mind!

And here's the biggie... I've bagged myself a job as Assistant Stylist to the amazing SALLY CONRAN, in a shoot for The White Company in London for a while - such an amazing opportunity, I just can't wait! Here's some previous White Company shoots below to get you aquainted with what I'll be working on :)

Got to say this past year has been incredible. From working my butt off on some amazing projects at Uni and gaining a First Class Honors, to working on WWZ, the new Brad Pitt film, to interning at H&A, to working at Prop Studios to this Assistant Stylist job - all of it has been incredible. I never have any money, I'm permanantly on a bus/train/tube/taxi, saying goodbye to my family and working through the night, but I'm honestly grateful for everything I have worked hard for, and also been given by so many kind and thoughtful people.

Thanks for following this blog and for all your support. I enjoy sharing the start of my fledgling career with you, and I hope you stick with me all the way :)
